- Create patterns and first samples which are fitted and altered.

- Source fabrics, findings and supplies based on 3 principals: customer needs,

sustainability & locally produced.

- Established and maintain dye lab where textiles are dyed and techniques are tested and

implemented. Currently all work is being done by another designer so I communicate with

her my needs, manage sample production based on research and inspiration. Also manage

production and quality control of finished fabrics.

- Worked with stylist to create a collection of tops and leggings to meet the needs of

their specific photo-story. Spread was published in Jezebel magazine.

- Responsible for booking photographer, model, hair and makeup artist for photo-shoots

and runway shows.

- Train all new cashiers prior to start of each semester. 

- Manage customer checkout by scanning items, removing sensor tags and hangers,

communicating with customer to see if all needs have been met and completing transaction

by accepting all forms of payment

- Maintain the overall look of the store by cleaning, organizing, re-stocking, vacuuming


- Maintain all snacks and drink area by restocking several times a day as needed.

- Place order once a week for snacks and supplies.

- Cash out cashiers by verifying tills at the end of their shift. If there is a

discrepancy, I team up with management and research all possible avenues.

- Manage payments of store invoices and credits by mailing them to the appropriate

department and checking our accounts paid reports monthly. Further research is done on

any delayed payments/credits.

- Research and gather receipts for department charges from school based on monthly

statement. Deliver paperwork to schools payment department. Follow up calls if needed

for any late payments.

- Suggested and implemented in-store recycling program before one was created by the


- Participate in annual store inventory count.

- Work closely with store manager on various projects and store functions and am given

extra responsibilities and duties when they are unavailable for extended periods of time.

- Associates trust and refer to me for advice, knowledge and expertise on various things

when the store manager is unavailable.
